We’re Hiring — Join Us This Fall
RI Printing is opening its doors on the East Side of Providence in October 2026. We’re assembling a team of passionate print professionals who believe in the craft. Benefits package available after 6 months. All positions full-time.

Studio Manager
$92,000/yr
Oversee day-to-day studio operations, coordinate between departments, and ensure jobs move through production on time and on spec. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a print or creative production environment, is comfortable interfacing with clients, and knows how to keep a shop calm under pressure. You will report directly to ownership and are expected to maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Must be comfortable with ambiguity.
Risograph Operator
$85,000/yr
Operate and maintain our in-house Risograph equipment to produce short-run, high-character print work. Candidates should have hands-on Riso experience and an appreciation for the medium’s inherent unpredictability. Color registration issues will be considered a personality, not a defect. Ink mixing, drum changes, and paper sourcing all fall within scope. This is not a job for perfectionists.
Color Theorist
$88,000/yr
We take color seriously. This role is responsible for maintaining color consistency across substrates, managing ICC profiles, and serving as the internal authority on all things chromatic. The right candidate can explain the difference between perceptual and relative colorimetric rendering intents without sighing. A background in fine art, prepress, or color science is preferred. Previous experience arguing about Pantone is a plus.
In-House Printer Technician
$83,000/yr
Keep our equipment running. That’s the job. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of wide and narrow format inkjet printers, laser devices, and specialty equipment. Experience with Canon, Epson, and HP platforms preferred. We have a low tolerance for downtime and a high tolerance for unconventional repair methods. If you have ever fixed a printer with something that was not intended to fix a printer, we want to talk.
Substrate Specialist
$81,000/yr
Source, evaluate, and manage our paper and substrate inventory. You will develop vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and maintain working knowledge of stocks ranging from uncoated text to rigid board. The ideal candidate has strong opinions about GSM, can feel the difference between 80lb and 100lb without looking, and has at least once gotten into a disagreement about vellum. Familiarity with specialty and archival materials strongly preferred.
Paper Buyer
$80,000/yr
Procure paper. All of it. You will manage purchasing relationships with distributors, track inventory levels, and ensure the shop never runs out of anything critical at the wrong moment. Attention to detail is required. Passion for paper is non-negotiable. This role sounds straightforward until it isn’t. Previous experience with supply chain disruptions and the emotional resilience they require is considered an asset.
